This month we have had a focus on joy. St Joseph's is a place of joy. There are moments each day that it can be felt whilst learning and at play. Although joy is more than a fleeting sense of happiness that is linked to an event, there are moments that provide joy each day. These moments bring a smile to our faces and remind us about love and care for God and each other.
- 5/6 Camp playing trivia
- In the church whilst singing Rainbow (with no music)
- Daily walk on Tuesday
- Singing in prayer as a whole school Tuesday
- At lunch whilst playing on the new equipment
- At the end of the day as families reunite after a day of learning
Parents surveys
You will have received an invitation to participate in an online survey. We would appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey. It will provide us with information about what parents would like to see improved in our school. The survey results from last year have helped inform and shape the decision making for this year.
Naplan
Over the past fortnight our Year 3 and 5 students have participated in Naplan testing. These tests provide some information for families as well as inform schools and systems how their school is performing in relation to other schools in Australia. We look forward to these results later in the year.
Swimming Week
This week we are lucky to invite the students to participate in swimming lessons. These lessons are competently delivered by Mrs Krystie Reynolds and Mrs Carmen Drake. We are extremely lucky to have such skilled teachers working in our school. We know that learning to swim is a lifelong skill that is essential for all children in Australia. We thank these two amazing ladies for taking the time to teach our students this week.

We have been having a fabulous group of families join us each week on a Friday for Little Miners. This group meets for Birth to 5 year olds. They spend time in the Kinder space with our students and then some time together reading a story with Miss Crack. Learning through play is such an important part of connecting with others and learning. If you have a child that could benefit from Little Miners please join us on Fridays at 11.30 am.
Due to staff absence, there is no Little Miners this week.
